Ok, I am freaking out right now. Honours year is gonna be a LOT tougher than I thought. And it hasn't even started yet! On the one hand there's this whole elitist vibe to doing the honours; we are officially congratulated at a nice welcome tea ceremony, we have our own little room, library advantages (free document delivery services from ANY university in the world, plus! we're allowed to borrow up till 15 books! Which greatly appeals to the nerd in me, but carting the books home is another matter altogether). But there are definite drawbacks too. Writing 5000 word essays is one of them. This is such bad news since I barely make the word limit in my normal 2500 word essays. Most of the time I write under the word limit, and make sure I use Arial instead of Times New Roman in order to submit a reasonably thick termpaper. Ohhhhh and writing a thesis will be infinite times worse. Already, we're expected to think of a topic and get it approved by mid semester. AND finish writing the intro by December. All these on top of the level 4000 modules that I'm taking this sem. Stress! I don't know how I'm gonna cope with so many level 4000 modules when I've not even taken one before. And I thought thesis madness wouldn't start till next sem. Oh, and NUS kids are crazy cos they've already started thronging the Central Library to borrow books on their reading list. Like, whaaaat! The bidding round closed only yesterday! School doesn't start for 2 more weeks, people! Urgh.


It's gonna be a looooong year ahead.


In the meantime, I'm gonna enjoy what's left of my hols.
